About Shalamar

Shalamar is an American R&B, disco-funk and soul vocal group from Los Angeles, founded in 1977. Best known for hits like “The Second Time Around,” “A Night to Remember,” “I Can Make You Feel Good,” “There It Is,” “Make That Move” and “Dancing in the Sheets.” They won a Grammy for contributing “Don’t Get Stopped in Beverly Hills” on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. Current lineup: Howard Hewett, Jeffrey Daniel and Carolyn Griffey. No major new studio album since the 1980s, but remain active in live performance.
